CSE Awareness Training

A one day introduction to Child Sexual Exploitation, including what CSE is and signs/indicators, myths, grooming models, impact on families and their support needs and what to do if you have concerns about a child or young person.

Each learner will be given a Learner Book which will be a reference source for training materials, including handouts, presentations, and tools to use in the field and to record any details or key points throughout the training.

Learning Outcomes:

The learner will:

  1. Understand grooming models that children may experience or be at risk of
  2. Understand how to identify risk factors to inform intervention
  3. Understand how to complete a CSE matrix
  4. Understand what resources and interventions are available to engage children and families at risk of CSE.
  5. Recognise the impact of CSE on victims and families
  6. Identify what to do if you have concerns about a child or young person
